<image:title>Lindsay Gervais, RD - Hi! My name is Lindsay Gervais. I’m a Registered Dietitian and my goal is to help clients learn how to make food choices without stress, guilt, or anxiety. I received my Bachelor of Science in Nutrition from the University of Alberta, and completed my dietetic internship with a variety of clinical and community placements in Calgary, Canmore, Banff, and Cochrane. I am also a member of the College of Dietitians of Alberta.</image:title>
<image:caption>Early on, I discovered that my true passion is nutrition counselling, and connecting with people from all walks of life. I work 1:1 with clients to help them ditch the diet mentality, and improve their relationship with food with intuitive eating principles. I specialize in disordered eating across the spectrum. I recognize that many individuals struggle with disordered eating patterns (e.g. skipping meals), but may not meet “diagnostic criteria” for an eating disorder. If you feel anxious, stressed, or guilty when making food choices, I am here to support you throughout your journey. My experience also includes plant-based eating, celiac disease, Crohn’s disease, ulcerative colitis, irritable bowel syndrome, and pediatric nutrition (including picky eaters!)</image:caption>

<image:caption>I am a published co-author for a peer-reviewed scientific journal - a project that gave me infinite respect for anyone who works in research! I had the opportunity to attend the 2017 ASPEN Clinical Nutrition International Conference in Orlando FL, where our research team was awarded the International Poster of Distinction. I am confident in my public speaking skills, with experience presenting to a wide variety of audiences from critical care physicians to junior high students. In my free time, I enjoy traveling, mountain biking, snowboarding, and spending time with friends and family. Like most dietitians, I am a foodie and I love trying new recipes and restaurants. One of my favourite parts about traveling is having the opportunity to learn about cultural traditions by exploring the local food and markets in a new country. Follow me on Instagram for tasty meal ideas, quotes to challenge diet culture, and strategies to improve your relationship with food.</image:caption>
